Benicio Del Toro as Khan in 'Star Trek 2'? 'Not True' States J.J. Abrams

If this was revealed in November that Benicio Del Toro was J.J. Abrams's option to take part in the villain in 'Star Trek 2,' just one title leaped towards the lips of Trekkies all over the world: Khan. (Or possibly "KHAAAAAAAAN.") Late Friday, the web site Latino Review reported that that speculation was indeed accurate: based on sources, Del Toro will have Khan within the 'Star Trek' follow up. Very good news! Just maybe someone should tell director J.J. Abrams. When arrived at for comment by HitFix author Came McWeeny, Abrams offered two words of rebuttal: "Not the case.Inch You will find explanations why Abrams's would not be laying: Khan's entire backstory does not appear in the timeline organized by Abrams in 'Star Trek,' and could be hard to wedge in to the follow up. But, hey: stranger everything has happened. Regardless, Del Toro can look in 'Star Trek 2' and can either play Khan or he will not. Stay updated...
