'Star Trek 2' Release Date: Vital Lands 'Trek' Follow-up on May 17, 2013

Holding your breath for 'Star Trek 2?' You will have to hold it for virtually another year. The sci-fi follow-up was slated for just about any June 29, 2012 release, but simply been knocked to May 17, 2013 where it may need the area vacated by Roland Emmerich's 'Singularity,' which moves to November 2013. The entire cast is positioned to return for your follow-up, that is shot in 3d. J.J. Abrams, who's co-writing the follow-around his 2009 reboot, was too busy with 'Super 8' striking the first deadline the June 2012 slot now visits 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation.' The apparently flexible deals for your cast -- including stars Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto -- allowed Vital to hold about until Abrams and also the authors required to start target the second go-round in the Enterprise crew. The studio is clearly wanting for the next hit: The refurbished 'Star Trek' acquired $258 million within the U . s . States and $130 million worldwide.
